Is a three-monthly journal of the School of Education of the Universidade de São Paulo, with original, previously unpublished scientific articles in the area of Education, in particular theoretical and empirical research results, literature reviews on educational research.

Internationally indexed, Educação e Pesquisa receives for publication scientific works from different countries. It is recognized as one of the most prestigious Brazilian journals in the area of Education, rated with the highest Capes qualification (Qualis A1). It has been published continuously since 1975, initially with the name Revista da Faculdade de Educação, changing to its current title in 1999. Educação e Pesquisa supports theoretical research, debates on educational policies and creative experiences in the classroom, spurring the interest of researchers and educators from different areas in the human sciences.
